Recruiting Roundup: A New Commitment Coming & Other Notes

Hello Husky fans, after a tough loss on the road again it’s tough to think about the positives in Husky football right now, but there are some positive things happening on Montlake (recruiting is one of those). The 2025 recruiting class is currently ranked as the 18th best class in the country, with 27 commits in the class. The 2026 class already has a couple of commits and there could be a new addition on the way.

3 star linebacker Wassie Lugolobi from Eastside Catholic has been high on the Husky program for a while. Rated as the 46th best linebacker in the country and 4th best player in the state in the 2026 class, Lugolobi is a do-it-all linebacker who flashes a lot of potential on the field. Listed at 6’2” and around 220 pounds, Lugolobi has put together a strong junior season and the Husky coaches have been heavily pursuing him for several months now. It sounds like Lugolobi could be on the verge of making a commitment soon and if that happens I think the Huskies will add him to their 2026 class (and keep one of the top players in-state in the 2026 class).

The other piece of news I wanted to pass along is from a Husky commit who made his way back from injury after breaking his collarbone earlier in the season. 3 star wide receiver Raiden Vines-Bright from IMG Academy FL, had over 100 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns in his teams win on Friday night. Vines-Bright, who is rated as the 52nd best wide receiver in the country by 247sports had been having a strong season before he got injured and it was nice to see him make it back to try and finish the season strong (he is set to graduate and join the Husky program in January). The Huskies will lose Giles Jackson and Jeremiah Hunter after this season and Vines-Bright is going to have a chance to play early and often next season for the Huskies.

So proud of @RVinesbright came back from a broken collarbone after 10 weeks and scored 2 TDs, over 100 yds and Player of the Game! Happy Senior Night! @UW_Football he’s coming… pic.twitter.com/YY5wJE9ybG

It’s kind of a short post for today, but there should be more news coming out over the next couple weeks on potential visitors with the early signing period drawing closer. That is all for today and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
